A healthy me still just around the corner

There’s a new healthy me just around the corner. I swear it.

Here’s one of the corners I walk around with Boss, my dog:

Tallebudgera lake this morning was like a sheet of glass and not one boat out on it.

This inspires me to go walking which I’m doing regularly but haven’t upped the ante for the Body Blitz by adding weights and cardio as often as I liked. I have a really good excuse or two!

I’m on writing deadlines, have new business plans to put in place, Joel came home again, I got a new computer (loving the iMac) and plenty more excuses. Please stop rolling your eyes.

Okay, so I know it takes more than a month to make a habit (so they say) so I’ve begun again as far as Body Blitz. I’m really trying to build the habit of intense exercise every day. Walk/run this morning with the dog, eat oats for breaky, work for a bit, light lunch, walk the dog again this arvo and do some weights before I go to the surf club to work tonight.

About the work bit: I once again edited ‘Finding Tarzan’ now called ‘Finding My Tarzan’. I think as women’s contemporary fiction it rocks!

Wish me luck submitting it again.

She's been published in Take Five, The Australian Woman's Weekly, For Me, She, That's Life, Woman's Day and Club Life (as well as smaller publications). She recently formed Warm Witty Publishing to self publish her debut novel 'The Zanzibar Moon', because she's too impatient to wait any longer. Donna lives on the Gold Coast with her husband, youngest son and the weirdo Staffy Mahli. She adores being a grandmother but still feels young. She often joins her husband's pool cleaning business, just for fun (but is unsure if she's all that helpful). She keeps fit and has a fondness for elephants (she sponsors Tundani in Kenya) and owls. You'll often find her digging her toes in the sand while reading a novel at the beach.
