It’s always nice to support another author. I met Samantha Liddell at an author event Books by the Beach in Mooloolaba. At the time I did not know I would move to the Sunshine Coast but we hit it off with our mutual love of writing. We arranged to catch up a few times before Covid-19 but now it will have to be online catchups (as many people are doing). We’ve been discussing ways to promote our books. Both of us love writing and want to share our work with as many readers as possible.
One way is to promote each other. If authors encourage their readers to purchase other authors books the benefits are mutual. Samantha has done an Aussie take on Scottish romance. See her books below. I’m going to interview Samantha and ask her about her book-writing process for my next blog post. I’ll also review her latest book Dreamlander.
Elephant Creek has been loaded to global bookstores, enabling people far away from Australia to purchase a copy. How cool is that! Imagine someone in London picking up my book.
Ingram Spark does an awesome job of placing the book in places like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I did realise however there were some missing distributions channels. This has seen me go back to my very first publishing place – Smashwords. If you’re a Smashwords fan you can find it here: Elephant Creek and for a limited time, you can set your own price.
I’m testing distribution channels to see if this will spike book sales. I still have copies available if you would like a personally signed copy. Go to the Bookstore.
Or if you prefer an ebook go to Amazon Kindle or Smashwords. On Amazon it is only 98 cents for a limited time. And, please, please please leave a book review. Thank you.
