If you haven’t read The Zanzibar Moon or Kendwa’s Secret buy a copy before Elephant Creek comes out. Find out why readers are saying, “WOW Donna! You truly have a gift! Zanzibar Moon was a fabulously addictive read! Such a rollercoaster of emotions!”
I’m proud to announce that I am holding an author talk with my good friend and fellow writer, Katrina MacDonald (18th January).
Katrina and I bonded early in our friendship, not only because we love to write (we didn’t realise that until later). Of the many football mums I’ve met (and there have been numerous) Katrina is one of the best. Humble, kind and tenacious, would be only the start of what I could say about her. One day she might let me tell you her inspirational story but that’s for another time.
I asked the lovely Lisa at Elanora Library (Gold Coast) if I could hold an author talk. When she said yes, I realised I needed a buddy to team up with (not being the best solo speaker). Katrina agreed to move her schedule to fit it in. Yay! So here we go with our dual Author Encounter as the library calls it, titled: Steamy romance and other twists. The brochure reads:
Join indie author Donna Munro and aspiring author Katrina MacDonald as they discuss loveable, quirky characters, publication pitfalls and joys.
Donna self-publishes exotic romance and is the author of two novels, The Zanzibar Moon and Kendwa’s Secret as well as a freelancer of articles, fiction and ghostwriting.
Always a writer, Katrina took her writing gig seriously after illness forced her to rethink her dream. She is now putting the finishing touches to a thriller, Ourimbah Road, with plenty of twists and turns.
This interactive workshop will be held at Elanora Library.
Join this Author Encounter for quizzes, fun chats, confessions and tips for writers and readers.
Friday 18th January
Places are limited. Book now at: cityofgoldcoast.com.au/libraryevents
We believe readers and aspiring writers alike will enjoy our Author Encounter because we want to make it fun. Bring your mum. Ask your friends. Encourage your neighbour. Katrina and I would love for you to join us.
