It’s perfect book reading weather

It’s perfect book reading weather

The days are getting chilly and if you’re in south east Queensland at the moment it’s raining too.  It’s time to rug up, with Ugg-boot-footed feet, a warm cuppa and a good book. I prefer to read novels with warm, exotic themes in the colder months. There’s nothing better than being swept off to an exotic beach location (even if it’s only in a story).

Zanzibar
This is Zanzibar. Isn’t it beautiful? Wouldn’t you like to go there, even if it’s only in a story?

The Zanzibar Moon is the perfect winter read. You’ll forget it’s even cold when you imagine the white sands, blue skies, ancient dhows and turquoise waters.

If you also yearn for an erotic romance with a sense of adventure; an utterly sexy guy whose best friend is a wild cheetah, it certainly ticks that box. Did I mention he also has an adorable heart-melting son?

You may want a story that’s not just a romance, but also has an interesting story line. What if it’s filled with family ties, unique quirky characters, intoxicating landscapes, Arabian Knights type magic, Swahili, multi-culture, awesome wildlife, tear-jerking moments and set in a magical setting? Ticking more boxes?

Well, what are you waiting for? Grab your copy of The Zanzibar Moon . As you read you’ll be transported to a beautiful world, where magic happens.

The Zanzibar Moon out and about

I recently caught up with my sister, niece and an old friend and her partner for breakfast. We took the opportunity to take photos at Wildernis Cafe Bar,  with us holding  The Zanzibar Moon  in front of their magnificent artwork. It was a wonderful way to share my story in a lovely venue, that I highly recommend. Beautiful fit-out, nice views, ambiance and delicious reasonably priced food. It’s a special place to dine.

And if Zanzibar looks like a place you’d like to visit go to Tanzanian Tourism, or see what Check You In Travel and Tours can recommend to you about travelling from Australia to Zanzibar.

The paperback or ebook of The Zanzibar Moon are available for review. If you are in the media and would like a copy please go to the contact page.

Day 125 to 132 of 365 Days of Gratitude

Day 125 to 132 of 365 Days of Gratitude

I’m at the final countdown to book launch day, with only 44 days to go. I’m grateful to everyone who has shown interest in The Zanzibar Moon so far. I’m overwhelmed. In case you missed it. I’m giving free bookmarks to pre-orders (in Australia) of The Zanzibar Moon. Click Pre-Order to secure yours.

Day 125 I am grateful for:

The dishes being done, because usually I have to do them and it’s lovely to see a clean kitchen (that I didn’t clean).

Day 126 I am grateful for:

Family, because you realise how precious they are, especially when they are unwell. I’m thinking about Dad, Vicki and Tania and hope you all get better soon.

Day 127 I am grateful for:

A Sunday of relaxed tassel making, because I enjoy crafts and these tassels will make my The Zanzibar Moon Bookmarks special. Receive one if you pre-order (you’ll receive The Zanzibar Moon and bookmark in June).

Day 128 I am grateful for:

Another hibiscus blossoming in my garden, because it feels like summer never left when there are still summer flowers around.

Day 129 I am grateful for:

A cooler night of snuggles and easy sleep, because when you’ve lacked sleep you really appreciate a night of good slumber.

Day 130 I am grateful for:

A beautiful full moon, because I just love the moon. That’s why I have a book called The Zanzibar Moon.

Day 131 I am grateful for:

Good internet connection, because there’s so many things I need to get done on the computer today.

Day 132 I am grateful for:

An early morning drive to bootcamp with a waning full moon and lots of stars, because if I hadn’t rose early to exercise I would have missed it.

What made you smile today?
